Dear
Preschool Families,
What has
happened to our month of January, it seems to have vanished right
before our eyes. I will
still be offering one more day of make-up for a snow day back in
December (I think it was in December). I am still trying to decide
if we will make it up in February or wait until the spring.
Speaking
of February, our Valentines Day Party is scheduled for Friday
February 12th.
Each
preschool student is invited to bring handmade or store bought
valentines cards to share with their classmates.
Parents if you wish, you may bring goody bags for your
preschooler to place in their friends cubbies.
We will
decorate valentine cookies for our snack, and create a special
valentine holder for our cards.
*Allison
- February 2cd.
*Nick
and Sam - February 26th.
Birthday
students may bring a snack to share with their classmates.
Just let me know what school day you would like for us to
celebrate your child’s birthday.
So far
this school year we have celebrated:
Danielle’s
birthday 11-29
Preschool
activities for the remainder of January, and the month of February
will include, but are never limited to:
The
study of snow and ice (math snowflake counting rods will be sent
home today)
The
children have taken an interest in mountains and volcanoes so we
are researching, reading books and looking at a variety of
pictures. Our plans
are to create a textured paper diorama so the children can use
their fine motor, language, and problem solving skills to
dramatically explore “mountains and volcanoes”.
If you should have pictures or articles to share with us,
please feel free to send them to school with your preschooler.
I will have a special cabinet to display your souvenirs.
February Ground Hog puppets for Ground Hogs Day
Nutrition
Activities and New Classroom Nutrition game will be introduced
to the children.
Dental and Heart Month
Address and Phone Number Games
Daily Alphabet and Number “Circle Time Activities”, as well as
Music and Movement
Remember if
you would like to help with parties please see me so we can discuss
our classroom plans.
Thank you in advance for your interest in helping.
We are
looking forward to our week and wish everyone health, and hopefully
warmer weather. However,
Mr. Gary told me earlier it was snowing.
Time for Hot Chocolate!!!
Respectfully,
Ms. Jill
*Reminder –
Preschool payments are due by this Friday January 29th.
Thank you!
